Bonnie in the pasture

Bonnie in the pasture

Poudre River Stables, Fort Collins, C0, 80521

Laminitic creature that she is (see our Founder Chronicles), Bonnie nonetheless enjoys the occasional 15 minutes in the lower pasture. We do let her graze for longer periods on her own, but she must wear a muzzle. The summer grazing rotation is important for our horses because it gives them a chance to move continuously, without high impact. (Read more about Bonnie, a real-life character in Karin Livingston's novel, Winning Bet, a clean read for 'tweens and teens, available at Amazon and on the Kindle.)
